Who we are Specialist Driver Resourcing are a dedicated company exclusively to the building materials handling sector, working with national and independent builders merchants, specialist suppliers, and logistics leads across the UK.
What are we looking for Ideally we are looking for a FLT / 3.5T driver with Builder Merchant experience.
About the Role You will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our Tool Hire Clients by delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining hire equipment to the highest standards, and ensuring safe and timely deliveries and collections.
You will be required to travel up to 50mile radius in your own vehicle to get to sites but some mileage will be paid.
Your role will be varied and not one day is the same, some days you will be driving, other days you will be doing FLT work or yard work.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Support Build and maintain positive, profitable relationships with the Clients customers, ensuring excellent service at every stage of the hire process.
Provide professional advice and product information to help customers select the right equipment for their needs.
Represent the company professionally while meeting customers and visiting different locations on a daily basis.
Deliveries, Collections & Equipment Handling Safely load, unload, transport, and deliver hire equipment Carry out collections and returns efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Ensure all equipment is checked before and after hire, reporting any faults or damage promptly.
Health, Safety & Compliance Maintain high standards of health and safety Ensure all equipment and maintenance activities comply with relevant legislation and company procedures.
Keep up to date with Tool Hire health and safety requirements and certifications.
Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks, reporting any issues promptly.
Administration & Business Support Complete all hire-related administration accurately and on time.
Maintain up-to-date records for hired equipment, servicing, inspections, and repairs.
What We're Looking For Ideally someone who has previously worked for a Tool hire Company Good organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
A strong commitment to health and safety.
Ability to handle and transport hire equipment safely and responsibly.
Product knowledge within the hire, construction, or merchanting sector is a must.
