Special Quality Alloys Ltd (A Special Steel Group Company) is a market leader in supplying Nickel Based Super Alloy and Stainless Steel forgings and bar globally to the Oil & Gas, Energy, Aerospace and wider engineering industries. We are currently recruiting for an Order Entry position within our busy Technical department.
Duties will primarily include:
- The entry of sales orders onto our bespoke computer system covering a wide range of customer requirements and types of products.
- System updates.
- Use of customer online portals.
- Other related admin duties and occasional cover.
The role requires interaction between various departments within the business, primarily with our sales teams. Candidates would benefit from steel industry knowledge and/or be from a semi-technical background, though this is not essential and full training will be given to the right candidate.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- Competent IT skills, including spreadsheets, internal systems and customer portals.
- Confidence working with numerical and technical information.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and reliability.
- Interest or background in manufacturing, engineering, or metal processing is desirable but not essential.
