Overview
Special Quality Alloys is a member of the Special Steel Group of Companies and are a market leader in supplying the oil and gas industries with forged and rolled products in nickel based super alloys and special stainless steels. As a result of continued expansion, we are looking for a Bandsaw Operator to join our successful business working on a shift-based system.
Responsibilities
- Operating bandsaws to cut a range of different steels from 30 mm – 800 mm diameter.
- Working to lists and hitting deadlines.
- Loading & Unloading using FLT / Cranes & Side Loaders.
Skills / Qualifications
- Experience of working with band saws, cutting Nickel alloy, Stainless & Carbon grade metals to relatively tight tolerances.
- Understanding of mechanical production equipment.
- Be able to use accurately: tape measure, verniers, engineering square.
- Competence to accurately read and interpret working instructions.
- FLT / Crane / Side Loader experience desirable.
