We are looking for a talented and passionate Graphic + UX/UI Designer to join our London-based team. This role is perfect for an exceptionally rounded and versatile designer.
If you are comfortable working on both digital and physical products and have a passion for creating beautiful and intuitive interfaces, then this position is right for you.
You will be involved all the way through a project, from the initial brief to final delivery. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by working on projects that identify and solve problems across a variety of industries. Together, we will create world-class, human-centred products, services, and experiences.
We\’re seeking someone exceptionally creative and technically proficient. You must be fluent in graphic design, UI and video editing. Key skills for this role are a mastery of graphic design, UI, UX, video and motion graphics, the ability to research and design across digital and physical realms, and a proven track record of delivering outstanding visual content on time.
We\’re especially excited to see designers who want to experiment with new formats, technologies, and storytelling techniques to craft experiences that feel fresh, surprising, and distinctly memorable. We actively encourage bold ideas and experimental approaches. This is a place where you can push boundaries, explore new visual languages, and help define what great design can be.
This is a full-time hybrid role with a 6-month rolling contract. You can work at home 1 or 2 days a week if you wish. We are open to discussing a 4-day a week arrangement, paid pro rata.
The gross salary for this role is £30,000 – £40,000 pa for 40 hours per week, depending on your experience.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and strongly encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. We are particularly keen to hear from women, transgender and gender non-conforming people, individuals from Black, Asian, and other ethnic minority groups, and neurodivergent people, who are currently underrepresented in the design and technology industry.
Please note that we are not able to consider candidates without the right to work in the UK.
Requirements
️ Concept generation, design, development, prototyping, UX + UI: You will work with designers from various backgrounds across all parts of the design process to turn bold new ideas into tangible products and services that improve people\’s lives. You will design, prototype, and execute delightful human experiences which act as the interface between an organisation\’s customers and their products, services, and brand. This might mean: researching and mapping user journeys, designing wireframes and high-fidelity interfaces, building prototypes, developing videos and motion graphics, creating packaging and printed materials, and preparing final production-ready assets for apps, websites, and other platforms.
Research: We are looking for a curious individual who is inspired by people and can articulate a human-centred approach to design. You should be eager to explore the world for inspiration. In this role, you will help craft research plans, develop research questions and discussion guides, and experiment with new research methods. You should be comfortable participating in a wide variety of research activities, including user interviews, usability testing, and ethnographic-style fieldwork.
Photography & Community Management: You will create images to illustrate our work and document the studio\’s creative process for both public and confidential projects. You will also work closely with the Marketing team to create visual assets, grow our social media presence, and maintain our brand identity. This is also an opportunity to bring your unique visual perspective to our brand presence, developing expressive, innovative imagery that resonates with diverse audiences and showcases the power of outstanding design.
Team Skills: You must have the ability to work in a participatory, team-based environment, supporting and learning from your colleagues. As part of a growing studio, you will need to demonstrate a collaborative working style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a creative and innovative environment.
Creative Freedom: We believe that the best work comes from designers who feel empowered to test unconventional ideas. You\’ll have the freedom and support to experiment, iterate, and develop your own voice within our collaborative environment.
️ Resourcefulness: If you don\’t know how to do something, we want you to be able to learn it quickly. Our work is incredibly varied and will constantly challenge you to acquire new skills. We encourage you to ask questions, learn as much as you can, be enthusiastic, and be ready for a challenge.
️ Communication & Openness: We need someone with strong verbal and visual presentation skills who can articulate a clear design point of view. You should be able to create stunning reports and presentations that showcase the design process and effectively share design stories with our clients. The ideal candidate will be flexible, open-minded, optimistic, and receptive to new ideas and ways of working.
