Job Description
SPEC Engineering Ltd is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company for Oil, Gas, and Refineries and we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee our growing team of Engineers in the UK.
You will be responsible for leading and guiding our engineering teams, overseeing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of products or services. You will act as a bridge between technical expertise and business goals, managing resources, budgets, and timelines while fostering a positive and productive team environment.
You will also be involved in hiring, training, and developing engineers, as well as implementing and improving engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
Supervising, mentoring, and developing engineering teams, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.
- Project Management:
Planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Technical Expertise:
Maintaining a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, providing technical guidance and support to the team.
- Process Improvement:
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Effectively communicating project status, technical decisions, and team progress to various stakeholders, including management and other departments.
- Budget Management:
Managing project budgets, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring cost-effective project execution.
- Hiring and Training:
Participating in the hiring process, onboarding new team members, and providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Problem Solving:
Identifying and resolving technical issues, conflicts, and other challenges that may arise within the team or project.

Ensuring that projects adhere to quality standards and specifications.

- Demonstrable experience in offshore oil & gas or energy
- Technical / Engineering background.
- A team player, able to work closely with sales and operational departments
