We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Research Executive to join our dynamic and fast-growing team at Spear’s. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a passion for wealth management, law, and finance to help shape content that resonates with an influential and affluent audience.

As part of our team, you’ll conduct interviews, write profiles, manage data, and analyse findings, contributing to the leading media brand in its sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview leading figures in wealth management, law, and private banking.
  • Record and manage data using spreadsheets and databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Write insightful profiles and analysis for a highly demanding and intelligent audience.
  • Engage with sources to build a valuable network of contacts.
  • Contribute to editorial meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Assist with commercial projects as required.
  • Ensure all content meets the highest editorial standards, adhering to house style and SEO best practices.
  • Support ad-hoc commercial projects for the Spear’s brand and wider group.

Training will be provided in related areas of media, including SEO, media law and data journalism.

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in an economics, finance, law, media, data, or research role.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and orally, with excellent grammar and spelling.
  • A high level of professionalism and confidence in speaking with senior figures via phone and video calls.
  • Knowledge of SEO-focused content and digital media.
  • Experience using a CMS and managing social media to drive traffic.
  • Knowledge of finance/economics/business, and a relevant degree would be advantageous.
