Salary: £28,350 + Bonus Scheme (after probation)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (paid door to door)

Location: Based in Cambridge area with UK-wide travel required

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Level 1 Field Service Engineer to join our growing national service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and delivering high-quality service to customers. This role is primarily based in and around the Cambridge area; however, it involves frequent travel across the UK, including regular overnight stays (all expenses covered). It is ideally suited to someone who enjoys a varied, field‑based role and is flexible to work in different locations depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing and assembling profiling beds and alternating pressure mattresses (APMs) across the UK.
  • Servicing and inspecting assisted baths, hoists, scales, profile beds, and plinths.
  • Cleaning, decontaminating, and repairing APMs in our head office workshop as required.
  • Collecting and delivering equipment to client sites and assisting with setup.
  • Completing digital service reports accurately via our mobile app.
  • Working in compliance with company and client Health & Safety policies.
  • Providing excellent customer communication, professionalism, and attention to detail.

About You

  • You will already have some experience working as a field engineer or in a technical servicing or maintenance role.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Previous experience in a mechanical, electrical, or electro‑mechanical engineering role.
  • A practical, hands‑on approach and strong diagnostic skills.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) certificate, as this forms part of our pre‑employment screening process (the application will be made by the company).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the UK.
  • Comfortable with regular overnight stays (expenses covered).
  • A professional, reliable, and positive attitude.
