Spear-heads are recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a national Facilities Management business at their support centre in Darlington.

This is a hands-on procurement role where you’ll take ownership of defined FM and M&E categories, working closely with suppliers and internal operational teams.
The role will include:
- Reviewing current and forecast spend to identify savings and efficiencies
- Managing and developing existing supplier relationships
- Identifying, evaluating and onboarding new suppliers
- Supporting RFQs, tenders and pricing exercises
- Comparing supplier quotations and carrying out market analysis
- Supporting cost-control and savings initiatives
- Maintaining supplier frameworks, pricing agreements and procurement records
- Ensuring procurement activity meets internal governance and compliance requirements
We’re looking for someone with previous experience as a Buyer, Junior Buyer or in Procurement Support, with strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and confidence dealing with suppliers. Experience within Facilities Management or M&E supply chains would be a real advantage. CIPS and MRP/ERP experience are also beneficial but not essential.
