Spear & Jackson Group is looking for an IT Support Technician to join its Group IT team in Sheffield. Reporting to the Group Head of IT, the role supports around 300 employees across multiple UK companies and focuses on maintaining day-to-day IT operations.

You will take ownership of first- and second-line support requests via phone and ticketing systems, ensuring issues across hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 are resolved efficiently. You will also be responsible for onboarding new starters, managing user accounts, and configuring devices to support a smooth user experience.

The role also involves deploying and maintaining devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, and supporting Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. You will assist with system maintenance, including updates, security policies, and compliance, as well as maintaining clear documentation and providing basic user guidance where required.

Candidates should have experience in a 1st/2nd line support environment and be confident working with Windows systems and Microsoft 365, including Intune and Azure AD (Entra ID). Familiarity with ticketing systems and general troubleshooting is essential, along with the ability to think outside the box, take initiative, and approach technical challenges with a proactive problem-solving mindset.

You should be organised, able to prioritise work, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users. A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving is important, along with a willingness to learn.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sheffield, with occasional travel to other UK locations.
