The Company
Speaking Office is a London-based management company representing a talented and diverse range of thought leaders including : academics, politicians, authors, sportspeople, business leaders and cultural commentators. Unlike other talent management companies, speaking and the live experience is at the core of our client’s brand (as opposed to media and literature).
A flavour of the role
We are looking for an Agent’s Assistant: a dynamic self-starter who wants to learn the agency business from the ground up. You’ll be primarily working alongside the Director and Junior Agent; you’ll be learning the 360-degree business, from daily artist management to long-term public relations and marketing strategies for our artists. This would be the ideal role for someone who wants to build a career and work their way up to becoming an agent, ultimately being responsible for their own artists.
Responsibilities and Duties
–       Management of company database
–       Managing the Artist booking process from enquiry to invoice
–       Booking travel, organising logistics for Artists, and preparing call sheets for live events
–       Calendar managing and scheduling
–       Managing Artist deadlines
–       Liaising directly with companies/agencies that book our speakers
–       Liaising directly with speakers managed by Speaking Office Artists
–       Copywriting and proofreading – drafting biographies, newsletters, speech titles and other marketing
materials
–      Attending weekly meeting calls and working on digital marketing campaigns
Requirements
·       Undergraduate degree (2:1 and above)
·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Xero
·       Ability to manage your own time and others.
·       Excellent written and communication skills
·       Hawk-eyed for detail when it comes to copywriting and proofreading
·    Willingness to learn and take on responsibility
Benefits
·       £24,000 – £25,000 p.a. dependent on experience
·       Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH)
·       20 days holiday excluding public holidays with 1 day accrued for every year of service.
