We're Speakers Corner, a leading international speaker agency and consultancy that recommends speakers and talent for global corporate events. Our client base is comprised of globally recognisable brands, public sector organisations, event agencies, marketing and PR companies, charities and associations. Essentially, we work with anyone involved in events! (Conferences, dinners, award ceremonies, launches, etc.) We’re a small, close-knit team that runs a big operation, and our success comes from every team member playing an integral role in developing our business. About you

We’re looking for someone with 2-3 years of sales experience, both reactive and proactive. The ideal candidate will be that special blend of an outgoing, creative, analytical, self-driven and strong team player. Our new team member has to be skilled in relationship building, both internally and externally and be an amazing communicator all around. We need someone with a curious, open mind and a genuine interest in current affairs, business and economics.

Key requirements:

  • Proactive and reactive sales experience (ideally 2-3 years)
  • Proficiency in relationship-building with clients, colleagues, suppliers, and agencies
  • Fantastic written and verbal (both phone, virtual and face-to-face) communication
  • Great collaboration skills – a team player, able to create connections within their team and wider company
  • Analytical and organised approach to tasks
  • Creative problem solving, thinking outside the box to best match the needs of the clients
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems
  • Excellent time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Active listening with confidence to offer input
  • Curious mind constantly questioning and seeking knowledge

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Receiving and interpreting all kinds of event briefs from conference organisers – skilled at asking the right questions to really understand key objectives and build rapport quickly.
  • Using an in-house CRM system and accumulated knowledge, to recommend the best speakers/artistes for an event
  • Maintain and grow fruitful relationships with new and existing clients through phone calls, emails and face-to-face meetings
  • Pitching speakers and Speakers Corner’s services in person, on the phone and via email
  • Researching the needs of client companies and identifying who makes decisions about planning and purchasing
  • Working together with other internal departments to ensure the best customer experience possible
  • Working to individual targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) and actively managing ongoing pipelines
