Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. The role involves:

  • Be responsible for leadership and day to day line management of the Senior Housing Income Officer, Housing Income Officer and Housing Income Advisor.
  • Support the Housing Income Manager in ensuring that the Rent Officers and Housing Income Assistant are delivering the requirements of their roles as set out in the Job Description and Person Specification.
  • Ensure that monitoring and management of individuals' performance is clear, transparent, and consistent.

Key Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of housing legislation, regulation, and policy in relation to the provision of tenancy, leaseholder and housing debt recovery.
  • Experience of staff management, including dealing with conflict, resistance, complex and contentious issues, and performance.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least three years demonstrable experience of working in Housing Services, preferably with one year at Senior Officer or Team Leader level.
  • At least 3 years demonstrable experience specific to the role, or demonstrable experience with transferable skills within the social housing sector.
  • At least 2 years relevant and recent experience in a senior or managerial role.
