Head of Commercial Finance in Manchester

Head of Commercial Finance in Manchester

Manchester Full-Time On-site
S

We’re working with a fast-growing, founder-led hospitality operator. They’re trading well in a tough market, opening 2 to 3 sites a year and expanding into new cities across the North.

They need a commercial finance leader who looks at every line in the business and makes it work harder. This is not a month-end accounting role: it’s for a commercial person with a solid grounding in finance.

What you’ll do

  • Run procurement end to end: tender, negotiate, switch, and get it right first time
  • Own supplier relationships and cost: food, packaging, energy, facilities
  • Drive site profitability: margin, wastage, ordering and cost control
  • Own the cash flow forecast, budget and weekly trading reporting
  • Oversee the finance function and a small team
  • Model new sites (capex, payback, ROI) and cost up commercial deals
  • Look after asset finance, business rates and company admin

What you’ll bring

  • A hospitality background: multi-site restaurants, food service, bars or food-led leisure
  • Hands-on procurement or commercial experience
  • Confidence with management accounts, forecasting and cash
  • The ability to build a model and stand behind the answer
  • Low ego, high ownership, sleeves rolled up
  • Qualified accountant? Great, but not essential. Intellect and commercial instinct matter more

Why it’s worth a look

  • Report directly to the founder, as the third leg of a tight leadership team
  • Real influence on growth, from new sites to the deals behind them
  • A role and title that grow as the business does

All applications are treated in the strictest confidence.
