The Role

We’re looking for a skilled HV (12kV) Electrical Engineer to join our expert team at SPE Energy. Based in Abercarn, you’ll work closely with our Power Distribution Manager and engineering team, playing a key role in the delivery of high-voltage electrical projects across a wide range of sectors. You’ll be supporting project-based work both on-site and at our premises. Your responsibilities will include producing technical documentation, providing regular updates for customers, and maintaining high operational standards in all activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Submitting timely and accurate Site Reports
- Developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for site tasks
- Producing essential project documentation for internal and client use
- Providing structured feedback on the scope of works to clients and colleagues
- Conducting regular self-assessments to ensure personal and professional development
- Accurately maintaining timesheets and securing customer sign-off
The Person
We’re looking for someone with:
- A completed indentured electrical apprenticeship
- HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience in a similar role)
- GCSEs (Grade C or above), including Maths
- At least 2 years' experience in an electrical or engineering role
- Proven experience with 11kV or 12kV systems
