I am an experienced football industry professional having worked across many different areas of clubs at different levels of the pyramid. A former professional player with over 400 career games, the knowledge I gained from representing special clubs has allowed me to help develop structures, environments, processes and cultures within both academy and senior settings at Premier League, Football League and National League clubs.

I completed a two year scholarship at Rushden & Diamonds Football Club before going on to represent the Club 333 times. I was part of teams that won the National League and League Two titles, and became Club Captain, the record-holder for the most appearances in the Football League and winner of all individual awards the Club present. I also played professionally for Oxford United, Luton Town and Mansfield Town during my professional career, and Woking and Chester as a semi-professional at the end of my playing days. I was selected to play for the England C team on 8 occasions, scoring 2 goals and winning 2 Four National Tournaments.

On retiring, I have worked within Cat 1, 3 and 4 academies, including at Manchester City and Accrington Stanley, both at the opposite ends of the resources scale yet both offering completely different experiences and problem-solving methods. I have performed both manager and assistant manager roles within non-league clubs, was the Head of First Team Recruitment at Mansfield Town in League Two and more recently held the position of Head of Football Operations before moving up to Chief Operating Officer and running the Club entirely, at Southport Football Club.
