Spaulding Ridge is an advisory and IT implementation firm. We help global organisations get financial clarity into the complex, daily sales and operational decisions that impact profitable revenue generation, efficient operational performance, and reliable financial management. At Spaulding Ridge, we believe all business is personal. Core to our values are our relationships with our clients, business partners, team, and the global community. Our employees dedicate their time to helping our clients transform their business, from strategy through implementation and business transformation.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our excellent Data Solutions team in London. We implement data analytics platforms for our customers based on the Modern Data Stack approach, leveraging tools like Workato/Boomi, Snowflake/BigQuery/Microsoft Fabric/Databricks, dbt and Sigma/Omni/Looker. We are a Consulting Partner of those technologies, so we are in close contact with their Sales and Solutions teams to support customers in testing, implementing and adopting those tools. Our clients range from the hottest scale-ups in Europe to famous public enterprise companies.

The role includes:

  • Model data as an Analytics Engineer in tools like dbt to create business logic from raw data.
  • Assess clients’ data infrastructure, identify improvements, and propose creative solutions and designs to tackle their challenges.
  • Evaluate and design several data model pipelines for specific use cases and deliver technical presentations.
  • Understand and manage modern Data Warehouses like BigQuery and Snowflake (schema structures, access control, performance, costs).
  • Manage data ingestion through managed ELT tools like Workato, Boomi, and Fivetran as a first approach to data integration; custom data pipelines deployment based on cloud services is a plus.
  • Get certified in our core technologies if you aren’t yet, mainly Snowflake SnowPro Core, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, and/or dbt Certified Developer.
  • Deliver training, technical presentations, and co-development sessions with customers to help them implement a Data Stack.
  • Participate in pre‑sales conversations with prospective clients to define the scope and estimate the work for the project.
  • Stay up‑to‑date to help customers prepare for using new features.
  • Learn new tools at the advanced level and help customers do the same.
  • Think beyond the task at hand; understand how our customers define their own success with the tool and help them work toward that goal.
  • Share your knowledge, support the internal team, and learn from your peers on internal office hours and individual sessions.

You have:

  • Relevant experience modelling data, manipulating datasets, managing data warehouses, and high proficiency in SQL.
  • Programming experience, ideally in Python, but other languages considered.
  • Experience with any Cloud Provider (Azure and GCP preferred) and their respective data services.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as code (like Terraform).
  • Knowledge of any BI tool such as Omni, Sigma, Looker, PowerBI, etc.
  • Self‑motivation to study, discover new products and technologies in the data landscape.
  • Ability to speak and write in English (fluently). The vast majority of our projects are delivered in English.
  • Experience in delivering technical presentations.
