Catering Assistant (part-time) Part-time, permanent St Ives My prestigious client is seeking a dedicated and reliable Catering Assistant to join their team at a well-established site in St Ives. Based at their UK headquarters, you\’ll play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of their on-site catering service, ensuring a high standard of food quality and customer care for staff and visitors alike. Salary: Starting at £12.50 per hour, paid weekly whilst temping Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-2pm Key Responsibilities: * Support the daily catering function, including food preparation, service, washing up, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas. * Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, handling payments as required. * Restock goods and assist with general kitchen duties to ensure smooth operation. * Assist the Catering Manager with stock ordering and rotation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. * Provide support to colleagues across the catering team as needed. About You: * Previous experience in a similar catering or food service environment is essential. * A genuine passion for food, service, and working within a collaborative team. * Good communication skills and a customer-first approach. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and remain calm under pressure. * Physically fit, with the ability to stand for extended periods and handle lifting and carrying duties. * Holds or is willing to obtain relevant Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certifications. * Minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
