Location: UK Wide, travel to London occasionally

Contract: 12-Month FTC (opportunity to go permanent)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a large-scale government programme. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering projects within complex environments and will also bring previous experience in Business Analysis, enabling them to effectively engage stakeholders, understand requirements, and support business change activities. This is a delivery-focused Project Management role, with Business Analysis experience providing additional value in stakeholder engagement and requirements management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Ensure effective governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and support requirements gathering where necessary.
  • Drive delivery against agreed scope, budget, and timescales.
  • Provide regular updates to programme leadership and governance boards.
  • Manage project risks and implement appropriate mitigation actions.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience delivering projects within government, public sector, or regulated environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing project governance, reporting, risks, and delivery milestones.
  • Previous Business Analysis experience, including requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and business process analysis.
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting business change or transformation programmes.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • PRINCE2, APM, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
