About this role: You will be joining a team that works at the heart of a complex, enterprise-scale ecosystem, maintaining and enhancing a diverse portfolio of business-critical web applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, analysts, and testers to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions that keep pace with evolving business needs. You will tackle intricate problems, optimize existing systems, and contribute to projects that have real impact across global markets. You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, diagnosing and resolving issues in live applications, and participating in code reviews to share insights and raise the bar for quality. You’ll also play a key role in shaping technical approaches, planning for scalability, and ensuring security best practices are embedded throughout.
What we’re looking for: To be successful in this role you will have solid experience in developing secure, scalable web applications using Java and Spring, strong proficiency in SQL, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities throughout the development lifecycle. This is a role for someone who thrives on continuous learning—exploring new technologies, staying ahead of industry trends, and applying fresh ideas to improve systems and processes in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

As a national organisation with clients across the UK, we require all candidates to have the flexibility and willingness to relocate post training for deployment to client site. Remote working cannot be guaranteed. You must have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of your contract with Sparta Global (British or Irish Citizenship, EU Settled Status, or Permanent Visa Holder). We do not offer visa sponsorships or accept Graduate or PSW Visas due to time limitations.
