Sparta Global are seeking an Automation Tester to join on an 18-Month FTC and support a financial services project, before joining on a permanent basis at the end of the period.
Main Accountabilities:
- Test Automation Leadership
- Develop and apply knowledge in test automation to make a significant contribution to the modernisation of the IT landscape through:
- Design and build test scenarios using requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Create and maintain automated tests using our toolset.
- Record detailed test results and collaborate with agile team members as solutions are developed.
- Report defects and track defects to closure, escalating as appropriate.
- Perform all aspects of test verification, including environment management, functional and regression testing.
- Communication
- Communicate with business and IT at many levels, having excellent verbal and non-verbal skills.
- Able to determine business requirements directly from business team members and be able to communicate in a non-technical manner when required.
- Work closely with developers, systems analysts and the business to ensure quick and efficient testing of changes.
- Quality
- Ability to ensure all testing is delivered on time and to the quality expected to ensure stable operations.
- Ensure adherence to requirements, including compliance with relevant Agile Working Model standards and processes, as well as controls and Change Management appropriate to a Financial Services environment.
Required Experience:
- Experience in test automation, behaviour driven development, test driven development.
- Experience coding in one or more languages (specifically C#).
- Experience of testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, SpecFlow/ReqNRoll, Playwright.
- Experience in test automation of RESTFul Services (Inc. Swagger), web user interfaces, SOAP Services.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration (GitHub Actions) & Source control (GitHub).
