Sparta Global are hiring an Automation & Integration Lead to lead a new automation capability focused on end-to-end business process automation, spanning RPA, integrations, APIs, and AI-enabled agents within an Azure-first environment. This role will be hired to be deployed into a world-leading insurance provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of automation solutions across customer and internal processes, selecting the most appropriate approach (RPA, APIs, messaging, copilots, AI agents).
- Act as the technical decision-maker for automation patterns, ensuring solutions are tool-agnostic but aligned to Microsoft Azure, Foundry, Fabric and Power Platform.
- Establish standards for secure data access, orchestration, and guardrails when deploying AI-enabled and agent-driven automation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to triage automation demand, advising on feasibility, value, and optimal implementation approaches.
- Lead the development of reusable components and patterns to accelerate automation delivery and reduce duplication.
- Embed DevOps, SRE, and quality practices into automation delivery, including monitoring, resilience, and agent evaluation/testing approaches.
- Mentor and uplift engineers from IT Ops, development, and test automation backgrounds into cross-functional automation engineers.
- Support the evolution of contact centre and CRM automation, including cross-channel orchestration (IVR, chat, messaging, agent handoff).
- Act as a bridge between engineering, data, and AI teams as the organisation scales intelligent automation capabilities.
