We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Lecturer in Health to join our team at Andover Campus. You do not need previous teaching experience or experience in Further Education to apply. This role is well suited to qualified health professionals who are interested in moving into teaching, as well as those with existing teaching experience.

Our Health curriculum includes T Level Health (Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing pathways), BTEC Health and Social Care, and Access to HE Nursing. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum, with a particular focus on the T Level Health Adult Nursing pathway.

About the role

You will deliver engaging and effective teaching within our Health programmes, supporting students to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for progression into health-related study and employment. A key element of the role involves teaching on the T Level Health Adult Nursing pathway, so applicants must have a relevant health background and the ability to teach nursing-related content confidently.

  • Deliver teaching on the T Level Health Adult Nursing pathway
  • Contribute to delivery on BTEC Health and Social Care and Access to HE Nursing as required
  • Support students to achieve positive outcomes and progress successfully
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive department
  • Engage positively with quality and curriculum requirements
About you

You will:

  • Have a relevant health or nursing background, enabling you to teach nursing content
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a health-related subject
  • Be enthusiastic about sharing your professional knowledge with learners
  • Be organised, motivated and committed to high-quality education
  • Enjoy working as part of a team

Previous teaching experience is not required. We actively welcome applications from candidates who are new to teaching and will need to complete a teaching qualification.

Teaching qualification and development

All academic staff are required to hold a recognised teaching qualification. If you do not already have one, we will:

  • Support you to train while in post
  • Provide time to complete the qualification alongside your role
  • Fully cover the cost of the qualification
