What You’ll Do:

The Farm Manager will lead by example on implementing procedures and controls, which will include (but are not limited to):

  1. All crop husbandry and production (including the accurate completion of all field records, grain, and produce store records).
  2. All livestock husbandry and production (maintaining and checking all livestock and dairy records).
  3. Processing and management of written orders and dispatch notes for goods arriving and leaving the farm.
  4. Ensuring there is adequate insurance cover in place for machinery, buildings, and crops in store.
  5. Liaising with DEFRA and other regulatory authorities regarding all aspects of farm administration.
  6. Completion of all statutory records for each of the farm enterprises.
  7. Ensuring the College Group’s Health and Safety Policy and associated Codes of Practice are always adhered to and its requirements are met in full.
  8. Collaborating and supporting colleagues and learners, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.

  2. Experience of livestock management.
  3. Experience of managing and motivating teams.
  4. Able to work with key stakeholders to deliver our vision.
  5. Demonstrable achievements in the sector.
  6. Full understanding of the required standards of livestock health and welfare.
