As an Early Childhood Teacher, your responsibilities will include developing and delivering funded kindergarten programs within our long day care setting, working with the leadership team to plan diverse educational programs, including community excursions and in-house activities. Your essential duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing and implementing interdisciplinary, play-based learning experiences that incorporate language, literacy, maths, science, and technology, aligned with curriculum goals and frameworks.
- Promoting inclusive, equitable, and diverse pedagogical practices respecting all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
- Maintaining a safe, healthy environment by implementing safety policies, promoting hygiene, and creating nurturing learning spaces.
- Planning and evaluating educational excursions and outdoor learning experiences to enrich learning and promote environmental stewardship.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and contributing to the early childhood education community.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and VIT Registration
- Proven experience with 3 & 4 Year Old Kindergarten programs
- High-level knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Current Working with Children check
- First Aid and CPR certificates, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- Experience working with children of varying abilities and interests
