We are working with a not-for-profit independent fostering agency who are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of children and families. With experienced senior management who are able to provide fantastic guidance and growth for progression, this could be a great opportunity to join a team where you can make a difference and make steps towards growing your experience. This position doesn't have the expectation of Form F Assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Support Foster Carers: Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to provide quality care to children.
  • Reviews: Regularly review and monitor the progress and wellbeing of children in placement.
  • Compliance and Safeguarding: Ensure all fostering activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and agency policies. Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to the care and support of children.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and activities, ensuring confidentiality and data protection protocols are followed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Social Work Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Social Work, with current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in fostering (Independent Fostering or Local Authority), with a strong understanding of fostering regulations and best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
