Job Description

Job Title: Supervising Social Worker\\nLocation: Manchester\\nEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-time (1 day in office, 4 days remote)\\nSalary: £40,000 – £45,000\\nWe are a working with an independent fostering agency who are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.\\nWith experienced senior management who are able to provide fantastic guidance and growth for progression, this could be a great opportunity to join a team where you can make a difference and make steps towards growing your experience.\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n * \\n Supervise and Support Foster Carers: Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to provide quality care to children.\\n * \\n Reviews: Regularly review and monitor the progress and wellbeing of children in placement.\\n * \\n Compliance and Safeguarding: Ensure all fostering activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and agency policies. Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.\\n * \\n Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to the care and support of children.\\n * \\n Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and activities, ensuring confidentiality and data protection protocols are followed.\\nQualifications and Experience:\\n * \\n Social Work Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Social Work, with current registration with Social Work England.\\n * \\n Experience: Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in fostering (Independent Fostering or Local Authority), with a strong understanding of fostering regulations and best practices.\\n * \\n Skills: Excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
