I'm recruiting for a Legal 500 firm with its head office in Leeds, and additional offices across Yorkshire, including Harrogate and Ilkley. So while the role is Leeds-based, there's genuine flexibility to be based at either of the other two locations if that suits you better.
The firm is flexible and family-friendly, they're open to a 4-day week or a 9-day working fortnight, and offer hybrid working too.
The Role
You'll lead on a broad range of corporate finance work, including:
- Acquisitions and disposals of owner-managed businesses
- Sales to VC and PE-backed buyers
- Shareholder agreements, MBOs, JVs, and group reorganisations
There's a strong advisory element, with a loyal base of long-standing, repeat clients, predominantly owner-managed businesses. The team also acts for professional practices and healthcare clients. Currently, four Partners and six other lawyers make up the team.
What They're Looking For
- 9+ years' PQE at Partner or Senior Legal Director level
- Strong corporate finance experience within a Yorkshire firm
- Commercial mindset and technical excellence
- An established network and proactive approach to business development
- A following or portable book of business would be a distinct advantage
Culture & Support
Culture fit is important here. Consistently rated a great place to work, with a broad gender balance at partnership level, the firm has invested heavily in marketing, IT, and people teams, so you can focus on clients and fee-earning.
Hybrid working is on offer, with attendance in the office expected as required rather than set days. This is a genuine opportunity to shape the future of the department and your own career, working closely with the Head of Department in a supportive, growth-focused environment.
