Are you a dedicated and passionate educator looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? We are seeking Part Time Home Tutors to take on students who are not able to access full-time education within a school and are of low ability. We require tutors to work 3 hours every morning, Monday to Friday (15 hours in total each) in the Redditch area, B97. Sessions will be on a 1:1 basis and weekly reports will be required. Tutors will be teaching Functional Skills English & Maths Entry Levels 1 & 2 with some basic sciences. They must have experience working with ADHD and ASD students at secondary level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in Functional Skills English & Maths Entry Levels 1 & 2.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and creativity.
- Adapt to different teaching styles, curricula, and home settings.
- Manage behaviour and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with school staff and administrators to meet the educational needs of students.
- Follow lesson plans and curriculum guidelines as provided.
- Provide constructive feedback and assessment to support students' progress.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a related degree, be an experienced teaching assistant, HLTA or teacher.
- Have previous teaching experience preferred.
- Have strong communication and proactive classroom management skills.
- Be resilient and able to respond well to feedback.
- Have a dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Be reliable and punctual with a commitment to fulfilling scheduled assignments.
- Be able to engage with students with ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
