About the Role
SparkEd Recruitment is working in partnership with a forward-thinking and supportive school in Exeter to recruit committed SEMH Learning Mentors. This is a fulfilling opportunity to work with pupils from Key Stages 1 through 4, supporting their educational journey and helping them thrive within a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, particularly those facing challenges such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, or behavioural difficulties
- Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment
- Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
