About the Role

SparkEd Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking school in Redruth to recruit committed Classroom Assistants. This is an opportunity to support students across Key Stages 1 to 4 and play a meaningful role in their development. As a SEND Classroom Assistant, you will provide vital support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll work with students experiencing challenges such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, and behaviours that may require additional understanding and care.

  • Eager to learn and develop, with full training provided
  • From backgrounds such as childcare, psychology, youth work, or social care (graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Patient, resilient, and committed to supporting students with complex needs, including Autism and ADHD
  • Previous experience working with young people with additional needs or challenging behaviour is beneficial but not essential.
