The Spark vision is to take the standards of the residential solar industry and redefine them. Founded by a team with 3 decades of experience, our goal is prioritising both products and service and placing the customer at the forefront of our ethos.
We don’t offer off-the-shelf solar systems. Instead, we have curated a range of panels, batteries, and inverters for their blend of optimal performance and assured quality. We have chosen products that allow us to ensure that every system Spark installs is excellent as standard, seamlessly blending high-quality solar into a bespoke system that is tailored exclusively to our customers.
As demand for domestic solar continues to surge, we’re expanding our renewable operations team and are looking for an Solar Operations Manager to assist the delivery of our residential solar projects across the UK.
The Role
- Manage daily solar PV & battery installation operations.
- Undertake project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage teams and subcontractors to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Monitor installation progress, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Ensure all works meet NAPIT, MCS, HIES, and other industry standards.
- Liaise with customers, surveyors, and design teams to deliver seamless project handovers.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Report to the Head Operations Manager on performance and growth opportunities.
The Candidate
- 3+ years’ experience managing domestic solar PV installations. Experience in a similar role is essential
- Proven track record in operational or project management roles.
- Strong understanding of MCS, DNO, and electrical compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- City & Guilds 2391 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
- Experience integrating battery storage & EV charging solutions.
- Familiarity with project design systems
Hours of Work
Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm
Saturday shift between 10am-2pm worked on a rota basis between the operations team.
Salary
Basic £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Casual dress
