YMCA Taunton is dedicated to fostering community spirit, promoting healthy living, and providing opportunities for people of all ages to stay active. Our astroturf 3G facility is a perfect venue for sports and recreational activities.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Walking Football Coordinator to revive and manage our Walking Football Club. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the local community by encouraging fitness, fun, and social interaction among participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Revival: Restart and promote the Walking Football Club, attracting new members and re-engaging past participants.
- Session Coordination: Organise and lead weekly walking football sessions on our astroturf 3G facility.
- Community Engagement: Build a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostering camaraderie and teamwork among players.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with YMCA Taunton’s guidelines and policies.
- Feedback & Improvement: Gather feedback from participants to continually improve the programme and ensure it meets their needs and interests.
- Liaise with YMCA Staff: Work with the Marketing Officer to promote the club.
