The adventures we organise for children aged 6-8 years old depend on volunteers aged over 18 to lead them on Monday evenings.
Scouting is about teamwork, and we’re there to support you every step of the way. The Section Team Member is part of a team that works together to plan, deliver, and run quality programmes safely. Beavers usually meet on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm, but there are also occasional day trips or overnight events. The team ensures all young people can take part in the programme and gain skills for life by:
- Creating a safe environment
- Planning and delivering a great programme
- Fostering a positive culture for everyone
You don’t need to have any scouting experience; enthusiasm is the only qualification required. Your journey begins with an induction, which will guide you through the early weeks. You can complete training modules in different ways, including e-learning, virtual courses, or workbooks. Sometimes, a County Training Team member teaches these at various locations in the County.
