Location: Ground Floor, Atlantic Close, Swansea Enterprise Park, Swansea SA7 9FJ

Hours: Full‑time position, 37.5 hours per week, working 4 days out of 6, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Salary: £24,000

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the principles of clinical governance.
  • Work alongside optometrists in the day‑to‑day running of clinics, carrying out the relevant diagnostic examinations.
  • Assist in the running of pre‑ and post‑operative clinics for all patients.
  • Act as theatre runner and escort in a busy theatre environment.
  • Be proficient in the company database (Medisoft).
  • Follow correct procedures for reporting any accidents or incidents.
  • Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities, ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for use.
  • Ensure correct storage of all equipment.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Assist with stock control, maintaining realistic par levels and ensuring items are readily available.
  • Manage all diagnostic and theatre equipment on a daily basis.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with GDPR.
