Hours: Full‑time – 37.5 hours per week, working 4 days out of 6, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Salary: £24,000 per annum
As the UK’s largest provider of NHS cataract surgery, SpaMedica focuses on patient care, safety and satisfaction. All hospital sites inspected by the CQC are rated Good or Outstanding. The role is based within our Bolton cluster and involves working across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the principles of clinical governance.
- Work alongside the optometrists in the day‑to‑day running of clinics carrying out the relevant diagnostic examinations.
- Assist in the running of pre‑ and post‑operative clinics for all patients.
- Act as theatre runner, escorting patients in a busy theatre environment.
- Be proficient in the company database (Medisoft).
- Follow correct procedure for reporting any accidents or incidents.
- Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities, ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for use.
- Ensure the correct storage of all equipment.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock control, ensuring realistic par levels are maintained and all items are readily available.
- Manage all diagnostic and theatre equipment on a daily basis.
- Ensure patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with GPDR.
