QA Test Analyst in Sheffield

Job Description: QA Test Analyst (0–12 Years Experience) – Remote, UK

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Remote (United Kingdom)
Eligibility: Must have the legal right to work in the UK. No visa sponsorship provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
• Perform manual functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify acceptance criteria.
• Log, track, and retest defects using standard defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Contribute to test planning, effort estimation, and risk assessment.
• Assist in maintaining test documentation, test evidence, and traceability matrices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives).
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure readiness for release.
• Provide clear communication on test progress, issues, and risks to the team.
• (For mid/senior-level candidates) Contribute to test process improvements and mentor junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
• Experience writing detailed and effective test cases and test scenarios.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps).
• Ability to analyse requirements, identify test conditions, and uncover defects.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum practices.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for product quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and in a remote environment.
• Collaborative, proactive, and quality-focused mindset.
• Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
