Chilton Bridge is an independent special school for pupils aged 6 – 19, set in a beautiful location in Chilton Cantelo, near Yeovil. At Chilton Bridge School we adopt a creative, individualised approach for students who have barriers to learning associated with social, emotional, mental health and ASC needs. Our curriculum approach, Enterprise Learning, allows our students to rebuild confidence in their abilities, feel safe and supported, and gain skills and knowledge that will allow them to thrive in the modern world.
Due to the growth of the school we are looking to appoint Classroom Teachers. This is an exciting opportunity to join us and be part of developing an innovative and progressive school. We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic teachers who are open to learning a modern approach to teaching pupils with social, emotional, mental health needs. Our teachers and leaders are empowered and supported to design the curriculum activities to meet the needs of their children.
We are creating a diverse community of professionals and would welcome applications from a range of backgrounds including unqualified teachers who have vocational specialisms, NQT's, primary, secondary and FE. The teacher who secures this position will be required to teach students at both a primary and secondary level. We understand the importance of building meaningful relationships with pupils and families to nurture growth and development of relational milestones such as, building trust and sharing enjoyment.
