Silver Bridge School is a special school for pupils aged 6 to 19 years, based in Taunton, Somerset. Our creative, individualised approach to learning is centred around well-being and skills for independence. At Silver Bridge School, we adopt a creative, individualised approach for students who have barriers to learning associated with social, emotional, mental health and ASC needs.
Our curriculum approach, Enterprise Learning, allows our students to rebuild confidence in their abilities, feel safe and supported, and gain skills and knowledge that will allow them to thrive in the modern world. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and hard-working School Administrator who will be responsible for being front of house for our School. The role will be based across two sites within Taunton. This is a full-time, 52-week position. The successful candidate will be required to work between 08.30-16.30 Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).
The administrator will support the smooth running of daily operations of the School during peak times. They will provide high quality, efficient and effective administrative support. Based in the reception area, they will be a confident communicator and able to adopt a flexible approach. This is by nature a very varied role, which requires a high level of versatility and the ability to multi-task.
Our pupils aged from 6 - 19 have needs associated with SEMH and ASC, so experience of working within a school/SEN environment would be an advantage but is not essential. We understand the importance of building meaningful relationships with pupils and families to nurture growth and development of relational milestones such as building trust and sharing enjoyment. Care and making connections are at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure that all staff feel cared for too.
