We have a fantastic new opportunity for a skilled and quality-focused Welder to join SpaFlo's specialist manufacturing team, producing premium stainless steel products for high-end leisure, wellness, residential, commercial and hospitality projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TIG Welder to apply high-quality stainless steel welding skills within a specialist manufacturing team where precision, craftsmanship and finish really matter. As the TIG Welder, you will produce clean, accurate and consistent welds on stainless steel components and fabricated assemblies used in premium pools, spas, hydrotherapy products and related accessories. The TIG Welder will work from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications, ensuring products meet high aesthetic and quality standards before progressing to the next stage of manufacture.

DUTIES

  • Produce high-quality stainless steel welds on components and fabricated assemblies.
  • Fabricate and weld products to engineering drawings, specifications and required tolerances.
  • Produce clean, consistent and controlled welds suitable for premium finished products.
  • Prepare materials and components prior to welding, including weld preparation and fit-up.
  • Grind and dress welds to achieve smooth, seamless finishes.
  • Polish stainless steel surfaces to a high cosmetic standard.
  • Check your own work throughout the manufacturing process and identify defects or imperfections.
  • Work closely with fabricators, engineers and production colleagues to deliver specialist projects.
  • Look after welding, grinding and polishing equipment and keep the working area clean and organised.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant, in-depth experience of TIG welding stainless steel.
  • Strong practical knowledge of stainless steel welding techniques.
  • Experience producing high-quality welds where both strength and appearance are important.
  • Ability to consistently produce clean, accurate and controlled welds.
  • Experience working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of weld preparation, fit-up and finishing.
  • Ability to work accurately on bespoke and high-value products.
  • A quality-first approach with pride in the finished product.
  • Reliable, professional and able to work well as part of a skilled manufacturing team.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience grinding down and dressing stainless steel welds.
  • Stainless steel polishing and finishing experience.
  • Experience achieving seamless finishes where welded joints are not visible on the completed product.
  • Experience manufacturing high-end architectural, leisure, marine, food-processing, pharmaceutical or other premium stainless steel products.
  • Experience working with thin-gauge or highly finished stainless steel where distortion and cosmetic appearance need to be carefully controlled.
  • Previous experience within a bespoke or low-volume, high-value manufacturing environment.
