Community Engagement Manager – Marylebone (Maternity Cover, FTC)
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 - Dependant on experience
Location: Hale House, Marylebone, London W1B 1NT
Contract: Full Time - 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8.30am-5.30pm or 9am-6pm; subject to change) | Term: 9-12 months (TBC) Maternity Cover, starting April 2026
Lead the community experience of London’s most specialised HealthTech-focused workspaces. This is not a generic community role. It’s about curating a thoughtful, high-value experience for HealthTech, medtech and healthcare-led businesses, while keeping the building running smoothly day to day.
You’ll sit at the intersection of community, partnerships, operations and events, acting as the face of Hale House to members, landlords and external stakeholders alike. One moment you’ll be hosting a founder roundtable with HealthTech leaders, the next you’ll be stepping in operationally to ensure the building runs like clockwork. This is a maternity cover, but the impact is real, visible and senior - you’ll be trusted to own the experience end to end.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of Hale House’s specialist community and engagement strategy
- Build trusted, high-quality relationships with members, founders and operators within the HealthTech and healthcare space
- Act as a visible, consistent presence in the building during core operational hours
- Own the Hale House events programme, including Founding Member events (daytime and occasional evening cover)
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with the Harley Street Health District and relevant HealthTech organisations
- Ensure events are purposeful, well-attended and aligned to the building’s specialist profile
- Provide hands-on operational support for Hale House, including facilities oversight and issue resolution
- Step in to cover day-to-day operations during sickness or annual leave to ensure seamless service
- Train and upskill on-site team members in HealthTech/medtech terminology and sector understanding
- Manage the community events budget in line with P&L expectations
- Work closely with the Sales team to support private office tours and lead qualification where required
- Track engagement, attendance and feedback, sharing insights with the Senior Community Manager
- Member satisfaction and retention at Hale House are consistently high
- Events are well-attended, relevant and clearly valued by the community
- Strong, visible partnerships are embedded with the Harley Street Health District
- The on-site team demonstrates confidence and fluency in HealthTech and healthcare conversations
- Hale House feels calm, connected and exceptionally well-run — even when things get busy
- Understands the HealthTech / healthcare ecosystem and knows how to build credibility quickly with clinically and commercially minded members
- Is confident managing strategic external relationships, particularly with landlords and industry bodies
- Can balance high-touch community engagement with hands-on operational responsibility
