Don’t just play the PR game - play to win. You focus on impact, not inboxes. You’re an experienced PR operator who thrives on autonomy, action and outcomes. You’ve got a black book full of trade journo contacts, know how to turn a site visit into a feature, and deliver consistent, high-value B2B coverage in the places that matter.

We’re looking for a seasoned freelance PR Manager to take the reins of our B2B and trade-facing press office. You’ll lead the charge in shaping and executing our PR strategy, building relationships across the property and commercial real estate media, and landing high-impact coverage that positions Spacemade at the heart of the future-of-work conversation.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded PR freelancer with a track record of success in the property, real estate, or workspace space – someone who’s just as comfortable pitching a journalist as they are reporting against a quarterly comms strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • You’ll work directly with our brand, marketing and sales leads to develop and deliver an always-on PR programme that drives awareness, relevance and credibility for Spacemade and our location sub-brands.
  • Create and own our PR strategy – Build and deliver a plan with clear objectives, KPIs and a compelling narrative rooted in our mission, sector, and growth ambitions.
  • Craft media content – Draft and distribute compelling press releases, feature ideas, quotes, and commentary tailored to the B2B property and real estate trade.
  • Lead proactive media outreach – Pitch story ideas and comment opportunities to the right journalists at the right time – and follow up with purpose.
  • Maintain a best-in-class press office – Manage inbound enquiries, coordinate interviews, facilitate site walk-throughs and press visits, and keep messaging consistent.
  • Track and report results – Measure what matters. From coverage to strategic impact, you’ll deliver regular reporting and quarterly reviews that show clear ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally – Align with Spacemade’s wider brand and commercial objectives, feeding insights back into marketing, sales and partnerships.

Who You Are:

You’re someone who’s been around the block and knows what works. You’re a confident operator, able to manage your own time, own your strategy, and get results – all within a lean freelance rhythm.

You’ll likely have:

  • Significant PR experience, with a strong focus on property, real estate or commercial workspace.
  • A proven track record of securing trade and B2B media coverage in relevant publications.
  • Strong relationships with key journalists, editors and commentators in the property and real estate space.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including pitch writing and storytelling.
  • Confidence managing a press office solo – from reactive enquiries to proactive outreach.
  • Experience reporting on PR outcomes and linking coverage to strategic brand goals.
  • A resourceful, self-sufficient style and the ability to drive momentum independently.
  • London-based or able to attend key press meetings, site tours or events where needed.

Bonus if you’ve also worked across hospitality, placemaking or future-of-work narratives.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:

  • Know the property PR landscape inside out – and have the contacts and content to prove it.
  • Are energised by the freelance rhythm, working flexibly and independently with accountability for results.
  • Enjoy getting stuck in – strategising, writing, pitching, reporting, and everything in between.
  • Bring a commercial lens to PR – understanding what matters to journalists and what drives value for the business.
  • Feel at home at the intersection of flexible work, lifestyle, property and design.
