Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Booking Team within the Central Booking department at Salisbury Foundation Trust, as a band 2 Support Booking Coordinator.
The successful candidate will join the Administration and Confirmation team and work within the team to provide an excellent, friendly and organised booking experience for our patients. They must be experienced or willing to learn how to use multiple IT systems including eRS and Lorenzo and have a good understanding of patient pathways and referral processes.
The role requires strong team‑working abilities as well as the capability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in patient/customer contact are essential.
Main Duties of the Job
- Administer the national NHS e‑Referrals System and ensure the swift and accurate entry of referrals onto the Hospital Electronic Patient Record.
- Provide cover for the Salisbury Referral Centre; the single point of access for e‑mail referrals to the Trust from external Health Care Organisations as well as internal referrals.
- Be responsible for the manning of the Central Booking Call Centre using the Netcall system.
- Provide an excellent patient service and ensure all standards within the Trust Access Policy are delivered, contributing to the Trust vision of outstanding patient experience.
