We are currently offering a welcome payment of £12,000 (£4,000 on joining the trust, a further £4,000 on 13th month of service and a final £4,000 payment on your 25th month of service) to join us as a full‑time or part‑time permanent General Radiology Consultant with a subspecialist interest. We also offer a relocation payment of up to £8,000 subject to relevant terms and conditions. We are seeking enthusiastic Consultant Radiologists to join our friendly and cohesive Radiology Team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the general workload and develop a subspecialty interest, particularly in head & neck, urological or breast imaging.
Main Duties:
- Full reporting, including home reporting with equipment provided by the Trust.
- Participation in on‑call rota – currently 1 in 13, with overnight and weekend on‑call supported by teleradiology (CT/MRI outsourcing 7pm–9am weekdays, 3pm–9am weekends).
- Support for Interventional Radiology on‑call rota.
- Contributing to the department’s high‑quality reports and specialist opinions.
- Develop and promote a subspecialty interest within the department.
Qualifications:
- FRCR or equivalent.
- Possession of a CCT in Radiology within 6 months of appointment, with entry onto the GMC Specialist Register.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- Evidence of wide experience and a high level of competence in General Radiology including US, CT and MRI, and Specialist Radiology.
- Experience in managing risk and ability to prioritise clinical need.
- Knowledge and application of up to date evidence based practice.
Management Experience:
- Effective team member, including multidisciplinary teams, capable of motivating and developing staff.
- Clear written and spoken communication.
- Empathetic, sensitive, and able to treat others with understanding.
- Interest, commitment to teaching.
Important Information:
- Repayment clause applies to both the welcome payment and relocation assistance should you leave the Trust within a three‑year period: 100% within first 12 months, 60% between 12 and 24 months, 30% between 24 and 36 months.
