If you are versatile, hardworking, looking for a challenge, keen to learn new skills and enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team, the Cardiac Suite team are looking for you. We are a busy Cardiac unit specialising in Cardiac Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemakers and Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy. We care for a mixture of elective out patients and acute in patients between two Cardiac Catheterisation Labs and our 9 bed recovery ward, with strong links to CCU and Tisbury Ward. There is a full time / part time vacancy and the successful applicant needs to be flexible to the needs of the service and participate on the On Call rota. An informal visit to the unit is advised. Previous unsuccessful candidates need not apply.
Responsibilities:
- Scrub/Assisting Nurse for all procedures
- Running Nurse for all procedures
- Patient care in the Recovery unit, pre and post procedure
- Pre assessment clinics
- On call commitment and participation on the On Call rota

Person Specification:
- Current NMC registration
- Minimum of one year nursing experience post NMC registration
- ALS Certification or willingness to work towards
- Drug administration
- Desirable: Cardiology experience
- Previous scrub and/or recovery and/or pre-admission clinic skills preferable but not essential
