Main duties of the job
As a key member of our Cardiology Department, you will be responsible for delivering expert care in cardiac rhythm management, including device implantation, programming, and follow-up. Your work will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in a modern and forward-thinking environment.
- CRM Device Management: Independently follow up all CRM devices (including remote monitoring). Reprogram devices in line with national and local guidelines. Support implantation of pacemakers, ICDs (including S-ICDs), CRT devices, and conduction system pacing.
- Service Development & Leadership: Support the CRM Lead Cardiac Physiologist with service development and daily operations, including stock management, data entry/submission, and manufacturer advisories. Provide training to junior team members and the wider MDT.
- Coronary Angiography & Intervention: Participate in procedures, including pacemaker implantation and primary PCI service during normal hours.
- Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing: Contribute to exercise testing (including alongside radiology for perfusion scanning), ambulatory monitoring, and ECG services.
- Professional Development: Manage your own learning and stay up to date with emerging evidence and national guidance, with full support from the Trust.
