The role

Our managers play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the store and providing customers with the Space Station service they know and love. Our Store Managers are responsible for supporting staff in their day-to-day roles and progression, maximising sales and profit targets, helping customers with anything they may need, and ensuring all legal and company procedures are in place. This role is full-time, working 5 days out of 7, including some weekends and bank holidays.

What you’ll do

  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Convert sales and help customers make informed decisions
    • Achieve sales targets by maximising sales opportunities
    • Provide outstanding customer service, always keeping our values in mind
    • Resolve customer complaints, address concerns, and explain company or store policies
  • Store Growth and Development
    • Meet revenue and growth targets, and control costs within your jurisdiction
    • Manage the growth and development of the store and staff
    • Demonstrate an active approach to achieving goals and objectives
  • Manage and Train Employees
    • Recruit, train, develop, and support staff to maintain high standards
    • Motivate staff to perform at their best
    • Provide leadership, encouragement, training, and support to help others meet their results and budgets
  • Administration
    • Ensure effective store administration in line with company policies and systems
    • Create and review marketing plans and monitor results regularly
    • Promote the store locally through networking and liaising with nearby shops and businesses
  • Maintenance
    • Maintain high standards of the store environment
    • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers
  • Charity Participation
    • Dedicate 1% of working time to volunteering or fundraising for charity, supporting our CSR commitments
