Location: Hall Green

The role

Our managers play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the store and providing customers with the Space Station service they know and love. Our Assistant Managers are responsible for supporting the Store Manager and taking on their responsibilities if they’re away – as well as taking ownership of other crucial aspects of the store and staff. This role is full-time, working 5 days out of 7, with some weekend and bank holiday working.

What you’ll do

Sales and Customer Service
  • Convert sales and help customers make informed decisions
  • Achieve sales targets by maximising sales opportunities
  • Provide stellar customer service, resolve complaints and address concerns, always keeping our values in mind
Supervise and Train Employees
  • Organise rotas, give sales training, delegate tasks and help with employee performance management
  • Motivate staff, giving praise when things go well and helping them improve in the areas they need to
  • Help others achieve their goals through leadership, giving encouragement and advice in how to meet budgets and get results
Assume Responsibility in the Store Manager's Absence
  • Develop and grow the store alongside the manager, achieving revenue and growth targets
  • Take full responsibility for the site when the manager is away, completing reports to give back to them upon their return
  • Demonstrate an active approach, getting involved fully to achieve our joint goals faster and with an exciting urgency
Administration
  • Ensure effective administration of the store so that company systems, policies and procedures are always adhered to
  • Create and implement effective marketing plans, and monitoring and reviewing results at regular intervals
  • Promote the store in the local community by networking and liaising with local shops and businesses
Maintenance and Administration
  • Take pride in the site and maintaining excellent standards
  • Keep the site safe and healthy for staff and customer
  • Keep company systems, policies and procedures running smoothly, and assist with the creation and implementation of marketing plans to promote the store and create brand awareness
