Commercial Analyst
Reports to: Space Planner
Location: Space NK, Capper Street, London
Working Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office
Role Overview
As part of a newly created space planning function at Space NK, the Space Planning Assistant will be a key playerin delivering a centralised & streamlined Space Planning process. This role supports the rapid growth of our business by providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Macro / Micro Space Planning
Assist the Planner in the execution of macro space planning strategies across existing and new stores for all permanent fixturing including shelves, travel sections & end caps
Support the development and maintenance of space planning guidelines and documentation for both macro & micro space planning
Own the critical path for both macro & Micro for space planning activities across departments
Data Analysis and Insights
Prepare and maintain reports on space productivity, fixture usage, and customer performance.
Support analysis of sales and customer data to inform layout decisions.
Assist in tracking key performance indicators such as sales per square foot and stock turnover.
New Store Management
Set up macro space planning documents for all new stores with data driven store layouts
Manage the new store critical path for macro space planning
Coordinate post opening analysis on assortment, performance and lessons.
Project & Cross Functional Management
Collaborate with our Category, Store Operations, Inventory, and Visual Merchandising teams.Communicating clearly with stakeholders and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
Coordinate timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth execution of space planning projects.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
Experience in retail space planning, merchandising or analytics
Proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Qliksense, NAV) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
A proactive mindset with a curiosity about retail trading & trends
