Overview
To support the Merchandising team to trade and plan their departments. The role will look at the following…
Stock Management
- Purchase order management – raising orders and sharing with Brands in a timely manner. Ensuring PO dates accurately reflect bookings dates and potential changes.
- Maintaining accurate supplier out of stock reporting on Navision and Excel to feed into availability reporting.
- Intake management – accurate management of the delivery schedule, ensuring delivery dates are met by brands and communicating any short shipments, late deliveries, and cancellations to the Merchandising team and the wider business. Understanding the impact to the business.
- Under the guidance of Assistant Merchandiser, ensure new line ranging and allocations are actioned accurately and in a timely manner in line with agreed launch dates. Ensure stock is available to support launches, events, emails etc.
Trading
- Produce and compile Monday trade reports, checking data is accurate and highlighting any anomalies to Assistant Merchandiser.
- Work with Inventory Merch to execute Store Recalls.
- Undertake monthly store visits to assess opportunities and risks.
- Accurate input of markdown and promotions into the system.
- Produce ad hoc analysis as requested.
Training And Development
- Develop excellent working knowledge of all Merchandising systems. Qlikview, Navision, AGR.
- Develop a good understanding of basic retail maths.
- Develop and build strong relationships and networks with cross functional partners both internally and externally.
- Support in the training and development of new starters.
- Responsible for driving their own development and actively seeking out training as required.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Entry Level – No merchandising experience required but some retail knowledge is preferred.
- Good Excel skills and basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools.
- Numerical – the role requires a good level of mathematical competency.
