The Role

As an Architectural Technician at SPACE Architects, you will:

  • Work within a team of architects, designers, and technologists across several sectors.
  • Develop coordinated and compliant technical information, ensuring efficient construction and building operation.
  • Contribute to our sustainable design approach, which requires low embodied and operational carbon.

  • To assist in providing technical input to projects.
  • To assist in the achievement of delivery and quality targets of projects.
  • To ensure that clients' expectations are realised and met.
  • Be eager to learn and develop, with a focus on continuous professional development.
  • Ability to communicate well with both external clients and professionals as well as with fellow spacers.
  • Have a good understanding of and assist in ensuring that industry regulations, standards and legislative requirements are always met.
  • Have a good understanding of Specification writing.
  • Have good problem-solving skills with the initiative and technical knowledge to deliver projects alongside other spacers.
  • Undertake any duties appropriate to your level of responsibility.
  • Work within the business vision and values to achieve strategic and individual objectives.
  • Conform to Company Quality Management System where procedures are documented.

Our Requirements...

  • HND or HNC in Building Design/Architectural Technology.
  • Degree Apprenticeship in Design (construction related).
  • BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology.
  • Or a minimum of 1-2 years' experience.
  • Awareness of quality management, CDM Health and Safety regulations.
  • A sound understanding of Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office.
